Position Summary 

The Human Resources Manager supports the mission of Heralds of Hope by ensuring that staff are well-served, well-supported, and working in a healthy, values-aligned environment. This role oversees recruitment, hiring, staff care, performance processes, and core HR operations. The HR Manager ensures compliance with policies, maintains positive staff relations, and contributes to a strong organizational culture rooted in integrity, stewardship, and Christ-centered service. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Recruitment and Hiring 

  • Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies for all positions. 
  • Create and maintain job descriptions; manage posting, screening, interviewing, and selection processes. 
  • Coordinate offers, hiring communications, and onboarding to ensure smooth transitions for new staff. 

2. Performance Management 

  • Administer the performance evaluation system, including annual reviews and ongoing feedback cycles. 
  • Maintain accurate evaluation data to support decisions related to promotions, compensation, and staff development. 

3. Compensation and Payroll 

  • Maintain and update salary structures and compensation protocols in alignment with organizational standards. 
  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements. 

4. Benefits Administration 

  • Oversee employee benefit programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave. 
  • Communicate benefit details clearly to staff and serve as the point of contact for benefits questions. 
  • Liaise with vendors and support renewal, negotiation, and compliance processes. 

5. Staff Relations 

  • Serve as a liaison between staff and leadership to resolve concerns, complaints, and workplace issues. 
  • Foster healthy communication, promote positive morale, and support a respectful, constructive work environment. 
  • Provide confidential guidance and mediation when needed.

Position Summary 

The PR Manager provides strategic leadership, coordination, and support for Heralds of Hope’s network of Hope Representatives. This role ensures that Reps are effectively recruited, trained, equipped, and managed so they can carry out public-relations engagement, donor interaction, and ministry awareness efforts in alignment with Heralds of Hope’s mission. The PR Manager also plays an active role in organizational PR strategy, events, and marketing coordination across the ministry. 

 
Key Responsibilities 

1. Recruit, Onboard, & Manage Hope Reps 

  • Identify, screen, and recruit qualified individuals to serve as Hope Representatives across key geographic and ministry regions. 
  • Lead the onboarding and orientation process, ensuring alignment with Heralds of Hope values, messaging, and expectations. 
  • Provide ongoing support, coaching, and accountability for Reps with a focus on PR targets, engagement metrics, and donor-relationship effectiveness. 
  • Lead quarterly Hope Rep meetings for training, reporting, and ministry alignment. 

2. Participate in Sales & Marketing Team Meetings 

  • Serve as a key connector between the Hope Rep network and the internal Sales & Marketing Team.
  • Provide field insights, donor feedback, and PR performance updates.
  • Collaborate on outreach materials, Rep resources, and strategic marketing initiatives. 

3. Oversee & Execute Broader PR Strategy 

  • Work under the direction of the Director of Development to carry out a unified public-relations and donor-communication plan. 
  • Ensure that Hope Reps are informed, equipped, and aligned with messaging campaigns, fundraising appeals, and ministry updates. 
  • Monitor PR outputs and ensure consistency in tone, accuracy, and representation of the ministry’s mission. 

4. Oversee Banquet & Breakfast Strategy 

  • Manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of Heralds of Hope’s banquet and breakfast events. 
  • Collaborate with Reps, churches, event coordinators, and internal staff to ensure excellence in logistics, communication, and donor engagement.
  • Maintain timelines, marketing materials, event checklists, and follow-up plans. 

5. Plan & Coordinate Hope Rep Day 

  • Lead the organization, promotion, and execution of the annual Hope Rep Day event. 
  • Build an agenda that includes celebration, training, updates, and strategic planning. 
  • Ensure the event strengthens community, deepens ministry alignment, and empowers Reps to serve effectively. 
 
Qualifications 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Proven ability to lead volunteers or distributed teams. 
  • Experience in fundraising, marketing, event coordination, or ministry development preferred. 
  • Alignment with the mission, values, and doctrinal commitments of Heralds of Hope. 
  • Ability to travel as needed for Rep support and events.

Position Summary 

The Finance Manager supports the financial integrity, compliance, and day-to-day financial operations of Heralds of Hope. Reporting to the Director of Administration, this role manages core accounting functions, coordinates audits and compliance requirements, and ensures accurate financial reporting in alignment with U.S. nonprofit standards and international ministry activities. 

 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Oversee processing of contributions, expenditures, and purchasing
  • Supervise and collaborate with the bookkeeper
  • Manage payroll and payroll tax reporting
  • Coordinate annual audit with CPA
  • Ensure U.S. nonprofit and international financial compliance
  • Support international grant processes
  • Work with Anabaptist Foundation on CSR registrations
  • Maintain insurance coverage
  • Prepare financial data for Annual Report
  • Assist Bible & Literature Distribution Coordinator with fund transfers
  • Support PR events as needed
  • Assist with progress toward ECFA certification 
  • Oversee Policy & Procedure development & curation organization-wide.
 
Qualifications 
  • Demonstrated experience in nonprofit or organizational finance/accounting
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and financial integrity
  • Experience working with CPAs, audits, and boards
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

Heralds of Hope offers two distinctive teaching programs: The Voice of Hope and Hope for Today, each centered on expository Bible teaching. The Voice of Hope is a weekly, thirty-minute program in English, while Hope for Today is a fifteen-minute international program offered in 26 languages. Both are available through radio and social media platforms.
