The Call to Discipleship
The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America states that all men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. While this statement is valid, Jesus had a different vision. He taught that every person from every ethnic group should know about the gracious invitation from their Creator to become a disciple of Jesus Christ. As His followers, our job is to tell everyone about this invitation.
The Church: Where the Vision Begins
Our aim at Heralds of Hope is to work together to win the world for Jesus. The church is where the vision begins; groups of believers gather together to encourage each other in their walk and work.
One place where this is happening is Ghana, Africa. This summer, an HOH team visited Ghana to see the real-time impact of Bibles in the lives of students and their families. J. Mark, Joyce, and Crystal were privileged to distribute Bibles to eager young people with Torch Ministries.
Also, the church uses the means necessary to share the Gospel message with the world. This may be through personal contact, literature, social media, or meeting physical needs. No one method is sure to communicate the message effectively, but by working together, the message will be proclaimed. In Ghana, Torch Ministries and HOH are partnering to supply Bibles to school students enrolled in Bible lesson programs. More than 300 schools hold these weekly Bible classes, and some teachers were once participants themselves!
Students take their Bible lessons home, which can expose their family members to the Bible’s teachings. This has resulted in several local churches being planted.
“Today is one of the happiest days of my life; I received a Bible free of charge. I always search for Christian books and even Bibles in bookshops in our town, but they are so expensive. I’m praising God for His precious blessings to our church today.”

Empowering the Church
What if a church doesn’t have access to specific means to reach a particular people group? Does this mean these people are beyond reach? This is where HOH becomes a powerful partner for the church, providing Bible teaching resources that cross borders through the internet, social media, and radio.
One new avenue we’re cultivating for Bible teaching is social media. In this past quarter alone, our Facebook ads have reached over 4 million people, with our teachings viewed 170,116 times.
In 2025, we invite you to partner with us to expand this reach even further, sharing the message of Jesus with millions more around the world.
Would you consider giving today to help us grow these vital tools of Bible distribution and teaching? Together, we can reach the unreached.
Sincerely, in the HOPE of the Gospel,
Anthony High, Executive Director, and the Heralds of Hope Team
