Exciting News: Our French Broadcast Expands to Ziguinchor, Senegal!
We are thrilled to announce that our Hope for Today Bible teaching radio program is expanding its reach to Ziguinchor, Senegal! Our French broadcast will now be aired on Mawunam FM, a local Christian station known for its engaging content. This is a unique opportunity in a predominately Muslim city.
Connecting Through Language
One unique challenge was communicating with the French-speaking station manager. I needed to rely on Google Translate to work out the details.
The Journey to This Opportunity
This opportunity arose from my recent trip to Senegal and Guinea-Bissau. One of our translators, who is also on Mawunam FM’s board of directors, introduced our program to the station. This connection has opened doors we couldn’t have imagined.
Why Ziguinchor?
Ziguinchor, in the Casamance region of Senegal, has a rich cultural heritage and a growing community of French-speaking listeners eager for uplifting content. Mawunam FM is the perfect partner to help us inspire more people in this region.
Our Mission
This expansion is a significant step in our mission to spread the teachings of the Bible. We believe sharing our messages in French will touch more hearts and provide spiritual nourishment and guidance. It is also very helpful that we already had the broadcast from our partners in Quebec, Canada.

The first episode of our French program aired in Ziguinchor, Senegal today, Monday, July 1! Praise God for this new avenue to send HOPE over the airwaves.
