To Every Tribe and Tongue

“What is truth?” Pilate asked Jesus as he was examining our Savior. The question has not changed. Over the past several months, we have observed Russia and the western world give their spin on the war between Ukraine and Russia. The news often leaves us asking, “What is truth?”

There is good news! Pilate’s question follows Jesus’ statement on truth: “‘You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.’” (John 18:37 ESV) Jesus is the source of truth!

One way Russian people can hear the truth is through our recently-sponsored radio broadcast. Heralds of Hope has the unique opportunity to share Bible teaching via our broadcasts in Central Asia. Due to potential persecution, we do not receive testimonies from this region. We trust that God’s Word will not “return void.”

From Trans World Radio, we read this testimony concerning their Russian broadcasts (general response to TWR, the platform for HOH Russian):

“I started listening to your broadcasts through the radio. I really liked the stories of Christianity. I decided for myself that my heart should belong to Jesus.”

We know radio is reaching these dear people.

Our vision is to use media to make disciples of Jesus Christ to accomplish the Great Commission in our lifetime.

Our goal is to broadcast the Gospel in English, Russian, Mandarin, and 197 other languages. In this way, we can effectively reach nearly 90% of the world’s population with the message of Jesus Christ! To accomplish this goal, we are working to have each broadcast sponsored by churches, businesses, or individuals.

We often have several unsponsored broadcasts or those in transition to a new sponsor. We aim to cover unsponsored and under-sponsored broadcasts in cooperation with several generous donors who have agreed to match all donations received.

Our Uzbek (Uzbekistan), Turkish (Turkey), and Nepali (Nepal) broadcasts are all unsponsored. The Uzbek programs are reaching a broad area in Central Asia at an annual cost of $12,207.

For 2022, we have budgeted $520,000 for international radio broadcasts. Approximately $240,000 is for broadcasts that do not have full sponsorship. Would you partner with us to cover the cost of these broadcasts until a sponsor is found?

Our goal is to raise $80,000, with a double match taking us to $240,000.

Thank you for helping us to speak both peace and hope to the Russian people and others.

Sincerely, in the HOPE of the Gospel,
Anthony High,
and the HOH Team

We are a couple of weeks into our double match summer fund campaign. We are so grateful for the support we have received in response to the letter above, and we trust God to provide the rest of the funds for our needs.

So far we have received $15,304.67 toward our $80,000 goal.

There is still time to give! If you would like to make a donation, you can do so here. Remember, your gift will be matched from the Double Matching Fund.

We appreciate your support and interest in our ministry!
