We are in the planning stage for 2 international trips. Please pray for us as we plan the travel. Pray for the many details of a trip like this and that we’d be able to build good relationships so God’s Word can go forth effectively and efficiently.
The first trip will be leaving near the end of September and will be going to Kenya and Zambia. Our Swahili Bibles have just arrived in port, and Lord willing, we will be traveling to Eldoret to help with the distribution of those Bibles. Pastor Joe has planned a meeting with the pastors who can travel to Eldoret, and we are hoping to meet and encourage each other. Pray for us.
After Kenya, we will travel south to Zambia. Zambia is new for us, and we don’t have connections there that we know well. We are looking at the possibility of starting a Bemba broadcast. This has led us to schedule conversations with a few radio stations in Zambia. It is helpful that a staff member from TWR Africa will be there with us for these conversations. While we are in Zambia, we plan to follow up with the Bible distribution that we have started there in the last year. Again, we ask you to say a prayer for us.
You have probably heard about the Portuguese Creole Bibles we had printed. They are headed to the West African country of Guinea Bissau. At the end of November, there are a few of us headed to GB. Here, we hope to explore the option of a Portuguese Creole broadcast and see the Bible distribution firsthand. This, again, is a new area for us, Lord willing, we will be traveling with men from Training 2 Send. Through their connections, we hope to build some of our own.
