Hope for Today is reaching Hindi-speaking people in India. In fact, in a three-month span, we received 256 responses from listeners.
We’re excited to share some of the stories with you.

“Pastor V leads a small house church and has sent some of his youth and leaders for pastor’s and leaders’ training. Since then, he and his church members were waiting for our (radio program producers) visit. Pastor V sold his land at a very low rate to a few believers so that they could build their houses and they live together in the same place. One of them gave his small house for Sunday worship, and we were able to conduct a small gathering. This church wants us to lead them in Bible Study on a regular basis.”

“A professor, from a university in Bihar, heard about our YouTube programs and came to know about our ministry and Word of God. After listening to the program for a few days, he called our producer to inquire about the Lord Jesus. He said, “I know that Jesus is only a social reformer; how he can he be a God or the son of God? A man cannot be a God.” We guided him to what the Bible says about Jesus. He found the answers in the Holy Scripture. Now he says, “Your programs helped me to know Jesus in the true sense.” He has become a regular listener of our programs.”

“Haroon was born and raised in an orthodox Muslim family. Since childhood, he learned to be completely devoted to his faith and followed the religious rituals with great devotion. Things appeared good in his family, and he seemed satisfied. There was a little altercation within the family which later began to happen frequently. There were fights between husband and wife and other family members. Haroon now began to lose peace in his mind.
“After some time, he had an accident and injured his right hand and was unable to work. This also created problems in the family. They did all the rituals and visited their sacred places, but nothing seemed to work. Haroon was breaking in hopelessness when he met one Christian in his village. While talking and discussing about religion he was surprised to know that Christians say that Jesus is not just a prophet, but he is the son of God, a God himself. (Because in Islam they believe Jesus is a prophet like Muhammad.)
“He wanted to know more about Christ Jesus and came in contact with our staff member, who invited him to the house church. Haroon began to attend the church and kept hearing the Word of God. Slowly, he began to understand the Word and shared his concerns with the church, and they started to pray for him. God blessed him, and with time his hand healed; his relationship with his wife also improved. He was happy and decided to follow Jesus. When the neighbors and his relatives came to know about his decisions, they accused him, blamed, and harassed him, but he stood firm in his decision to follow Jesus.”
As you see, many people are listening, and God is working in their lives! It’s such a blessing for us at HOH to read these stories. We trust it’s the same kind of blessing for you as a fellow believer and partner of this work.

More Stories of Hope
“Punita was a religious woman, completely devoted to her gods and goddesses, performing rituals all day long. But she was not well. Her health was poor and kept on deteriorating. She was getting thin and often fainted. Her family took her for treatment to many doctors, shamans, and sorcerers, but her health did not improve. She kept fainting frequently.
“Her brother-in-law had heard that there is a church in the neighborhood where they pray in the name of Jesus. If a person repents of his wrong ways and comes to Jesus and has faith in Him, He blesses them. The next Sunday, Punita came to the church where our staff member leads. She wept and repented. After hearing the Word, she said that she believes in Jesus and requested healing. The church prayed for her. It seemed that there were dark forces tormenting her. After much prayer, she slowly began to recover, and her health improved. She testifies she had been suffering through one year; however, she was healed in just a few months through praying to Jesus. This quarter she got baptized.
“Now her entire family has come to know Jesus and have started a small fellowship at her in-law’s and parent’s home.”
