Guest Post: An Update from the Board

One of the highlights of Heralds of Hope (HOH) board meetings are the discussions about groundwork being laid that will broaden the effectiveness of HOH. Our vision at HOH is that we will use media to make disciples of Jesus Christ to accomplish the Great Commission in our lifetime.  We’ve seen the efforts going into the website platform, and the promotion of the call-in phone number here in the States, learned more about producing podcasts, and videos, and new digital media outlets. And we’ve discussed the challenges of growing new language broadcasts with the limitations of our current translation and broadcasting partners.

We’re glad to see the Bible distribution reach new levels and discover even greater potential.  It has been rewarding to see new Hope Representatives come on board to carry the message of what HOH is called and uniquely gifted to do.  There is desire and energy by the entire HOH team and by the HOH board to move forward as God brings more opportunities.

Part of every board meeting contains discussions about our mission, vision, and values. The HOH board highly appreciates the strong emphasis by the HOH team on integrity throughout the organization. This is evident through discussing and updating our bylaws, by frequently reviewing our accounting practices with the CPA firm, by the discussions about the spiritual growth and personal ethics of all involved, by the doctrinal discussions, and by a willingness to learn from other organizations’ experiences.  It is a pleasure to serve alongside this honorable, humble, and passionate team that is dedicated to sharing the Gospel.
